A Słupsk Winter
Autumn skies whisper
softly despondently of
winter’s impatience
We spent the strange days of the COVID winter of 2020-21 in Słupsk, Poland. That January was the snowiest in several years. The fresh snowfall was like a fresh coat of paint on a room; it made the world seem beautiful and flawless. A nice respite from lockdown and masking.
Those walks in the snowy woods became the project Winter’s Impatience. A collection of 40 photographs and short poems from that project is available as a magazine at blurb.com.
